Equine Bowen therapy works similarly to human Bowen therapy (Fascial Kinetics). It is useful for a large range of conditions, from acute to chronic, including:
As horses are natural athletes, they are designed to move freely in an unimpaired way. Any restriction is likely to be accompanied by pain or discomfort or both. All horses can benefit from Bowen therapy, whether they are young and developing, in heavy training (race or competition), or happy hackers. A treatment can help your horse gain more freedom through the shoulder, power from the hindquarters and more elevation in his stride. A happy horse = a happy owner! Combined horse and rider treatments are also encouraged. Minor (or major) imbalances in the rider can present themselves in the horse (and vise versa), so it makes sense that it is useful to address both horse and rider simultaneously. |
